We aimed to to raise awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation, discuss the role of people and communities in protecting biodiversity, explore strategies for investing in sustainable conservation efforts and to inspire action among participants towards a more sustainable future.

The webinar featured an insightful presentation by our esteemed guest speaker, Mr. Prashant Kumar from India, who provided valuable perspectives on investing in people for wildlife conservation. Key takeaways from the session included:

  • The importance of education and capacity-building for local communities.
  • How sustainable livelihoods can reduce human-wildlife conflicts.
  • The role of policy and advocacy in strengthening conservation efforts.
  • Real-life case studies showcasing successful community-led conservation projects.

The webinar reinforced the idea that wildlife conservation is not just about protecting species, but also about investing in people who are essential to making it successful.
